Ohio Appalachian Educators Institute
Building Capacity for Leading Change
The Ohio Appalachian Educators Institute (OAEI) improves student achievement by supporting leadership development in rural school systems, creating learning communities, and facilitating collaborative relationships between unions and district leadership. Effective leadership and coordination means schools are better able to implement plans to improve student achievement and the region’s economy. The OAEI is working to create a model of how successful rural schools work.
